Rachel now 5 1/2 months old

Wow, i can't believe it has been about 4 months since I was last on here. That is just crazy. Where has the time gone I ask? Hope you are all well. I must admit I haven't been visiting often and I want to apologise for being such a slack cyber friend to you all.

The boys are back at school now, so the girls and I should find more time for socialising during the day. Should I say, should!! We are all well thank you, This year already has come with it's many challenges and we are always being tested and shaped. We had thought we would head to Brisbane to live this week and went house hunting down there, only to realise through means outside of our own, that we are meant to stay where we are for now. So here we are, staying put and loving it.

MissAlis.com my wholesale site is still going strong. I have been pondering the addition of a new Retail site though, with the possibility of a brick and mortar one as well, but that is all up in the air, and may never eventuate. Not sure exactly what the future holds. Through trying to source products for myself, and having difficulty it leads me to the next step and makes me wonder if I am having such a hard time finding things, maybe others are too. So that is what got me started again with the Retail idea. My thought is to not only sell a small selection of what I create for MissAlis.com but to include other quirky or hard to find gifts. I would like to cater for women and children in particular, but not the usual things you find everywhere. There are enough of most things around but some just aren't easy to locate here in Australia. So that was my plan with that. Anyway, not sure why I am even saying all this, just rambling my thoughts on the keyboard.

Has anyone heard about what is happening over in Israel. Apparently it is being supressed in the Western Media, but the Arab Nations including Syria, Iran and Lebanon etc have begun to surround Israel and are preparing for war. May our Heavenly Father have mercy on His people and the land of Israel.

Hello friends and family, hoping you are all well and keeping out of mischeif. To all those of you who have been enjoying the recent dust storms, lol, how did you fare? Hopefully no body was too seriously stricken by the dust. We seemed to just cop sore throats and dry eyes. We kept the windows and doors shut when we could stand the heat as to not welcome to much into our home.

Well my little princess Rachel is 6 and a half weeks old now. Been a little bit unsettled of late, but nothing she won't get through I am sure. Bit windy is all. She is so delightful and is talking and smiling at us when we focus our attention and converstation her way. The top photo of her and I was taken a few hours ago on the web cam, but the other ones of the kids were a couple of weeks ago. She looks different to that already. Alert and strong and very aware of what is happening around her.

The two big boys are on school holidays, well one started back today actually. It has been lovely having them at home, and at Grandma and Grandads. Matty (hubby) took the two boys away for a week to a job he had in Sarina, and the eldest three have spent time off and on at my parents, so all in all a lovely relaxing holiday for everyone, especially me lol.

Ok, Rachel must have sensed i had sat down to type, as she has just woken up crying. I tell you, I can do housework, cooking or anything but sit down and she won't wake, soon as i have some ME time, she wakes up wanting my attention. Oh well, that is what it is all about isn't it. I shall enjoy the time with her this little while i have it. Ok friends, that was quicker than i had planned but it is a good excuse to come back and do another one real soon. Welcome Rachel Bethany !

Hello lovely friends and family. Sorry to take so long to announce our Princess. We welcomed Rachel Bethany into our hearts and family on Friday at 11.06am. We ended up going in on the Thursday night for an induction but nothing happened during the night, so in the morning my waters were broken and another two hours went by with still nothing. So with the threat of the syntocin drip I headed out to the stair well. Before long I was in the middle of 2 minutely contractions with which I waddled ever so slowly back to birth suite where I anticipated all sorts of interference. Thankfully they could tell I was in proper regular labour, so they left me to it. I hopped straight into the shower and stayed there till she slid out. From beginning to end of labour was 1 hour and 22 minutes. So it was intense and effective and ever so unfomfortable lol. But out she came all 7lb 9ozs of her. She is just delicious. She seems so very tiny and fragile and my other three kiddies seem so much bigger than they did only a few days ago. My husband has been such a blessing and has been getting in there holding the fort while I recover and spend time with our little one. He was fabulous during labour and came in the shower with me fully dressed mind you, and rubbed my back during each contraction and sprayed the warm water where it hurt most. It was very comforting knowing he was with me and I felt like it was a team effort this time. Treasured memories for sure. Ok well, so pleased to have the labour and birth behind us now as we look forward to our future with our ever growing family. 10 Days overdue

Hello friends, well, just a quick post to let you know what is happening with this baby. I am 10 days overdue now and booked for an induction in less than an hour now. So thought I would take one last pic (with my video cam lol) as I am hoping to come home a little smaller in a few days. I had my first two boys induced and then my daughter came on her own and now number four reverting back to induction. Not sure what the go is there but at least I know the time till I meet her will be short. (hopefully). So this is me saying goodbye and hope to talk to you soon. Will do a post when I get home from Hospital with my special news and photos. We think it is a girl, but now I am starting to wonder if maybe it is a boy, late like the others. Hello friends. It has been ages I know and I do apologise for that. I won't go on with how slack I am etc, you understand I am sure. Well i have been rather busy in fact. I have realised that when I am pregnant or just had a baby I tend to get creative and start something. Well this time has been no different. I decided in the end to start making my stationery and giftware once again and only offering it wholesale through my old domain Miss Ali's. I got it up and designed and stocked this week and it didn't take me long at all. I had been using a paper catalogue which I had done up recently so it made the whole process so much quicker. Anyway, I now have to turn around and actually make the products up and hope to do so before this little girl is born. So if I do get any orders around that time I can simply pop them in a box and be done with it. So if you were a Retailer of Miss Ali's products in the past or would like to be in the future be sure to pop on over and sign up for your Wholesale account. I am not officially open yet but will be able to start filling orders in the next couple of weeks. I have some new product ranges too which is fun and offers a nice selection for Retailers accross Australia.

PS. Baby Lily has been renamed lol. My hubby hadn't warmed to that gorgeous name and has chosen to call her Rachel. So Rachel it is, he chose our other daughters name as well, and I figure it is a great way to have him feel included as so far it has all been me enjoying ( and not so enjoying) the adventure.

And these tiny little ones I made for the little baby girls at TLC in Africa where my precious friend Tammy has just gone back over to a few weeks ago. TLC is a loving orphange that take in abandoned babies and looks after them and most of the time finds loving adoptive homes for them. The precious babies have black afro hair as you can imagine so I made these with black tiny clips which will be camoflage in their hair and will just be a burst of colour.

Boy it felt good yesterday to have a lovely friend over and to start getting creative again. It has been soooo long since I have done any designing or creating. Pretty much since late last year. So yesterdays fun was very welcome and has helped me to enjoy a side to me that I had just about shut out. I just realised this post is number 99 so out of tradition, I will try and make the next one a giveaway post. Will have a think about it and let you know. How blessed are We?

It has been so very long since my last post and for that I apologise. I just have felt like I had nothing worth sharing. But seeing as I got a new background image from a very generous lady and made myself a new matching banner, I thought I better share something with you.

We have just sold our house and had it settle a couple of days ago. We have moved to a new suburb and we are in and so happy in our new home. It is much bigger than the last place we called home. We have been so very blessed and our Precious Father has had His faithful hand over this whole process.

Matt has been away a lot of late which has been hard to take. My emotions have been all over the place with the move and the pregnancy and then being left alone with the three kids so much of the time. To be honest I started to come undone today. I cried alot of the day with so many mixed emotions and a heavy heart. I am yet to find my purpose this year. I have felt so lost and not sure what to do with myself.

Anyway, I won't let it beat me, and will make sure I overcome this heaviness soon. Thank you to all of you who visit me even though it has been so long between posts. I have just started to sort out my new studio here at the new home and have been starting to collect card making things again. I am going to try my hand at real handmade cards without my trusty computer, so that should be fun. I have a friend coming over to get creative with me so that will be nice. See what we come up with and I may post some photos of our first lot of creations if we can come up with some on Tues.

Our pregnancy is progressing well. We have named our little bump Lily already, so we don't have to say 'the baby' or 'it'. We shall see whether she keeps her bump name or takes on a different one as we get closer and more serious about names. For now, Lily sits well with us and it is such a dear name. I am 23 weeks pregnant now and time is going rather quickly. I have been more tired this time around and out of breath a lot of the time. My fitness has hit rock bottom I am afraid and I am already dreaming of the day when Lily will be in my arms and I will be able to get fit and healthy and feel myself again. Counting down the days...

Well I truly hope you are all well. I have been lurking around some of your blogs of late and they really do help me. You inspire me to be creative and I just love looking at all of your finds and creations. I don't seem to get out much so seeing your adventures is the next best thing.

Expecting....

Hello, hello after so very long. What a year already hey? Just wanted you to all know that I was still alive. I know it must have seemed as though I had dropped off the face of the earth. I am sorry that I haven't been around for ages. Lots has happened since we last spoke. The day after i announced the closure of Miss Ali's late last year, I found out I was pregnant with our fourth baby. That kind of through a spanner in the works as far as this years plans were concerned lol. I should have learned by now not to put to much weight on MY plans. I have had a very rough and crook last few months. Morning sickness this time started at 5 weeks and came with a vengence. It is only just starting to subside in the last couple of weeks thankfully. Some days i feel ok and others just awful. I have popped out earlier this pregnancy too and already look pregnant at just 15 weeks. Bub is due early August. We are very excited to welcome a new little one into our home.

I started the year home schooling my eldest, but unfortunatly it only lasted two weeks. I then decided that it was the best thing for him to go back to his old private school. It is a fantastic school and he was showing many signs of boredom. So he and our younger one were enrolled again and now i find myself sitting home, growing and doing nothing of what i had planned for this year. I have my little princess home with me and we have been enjoying our days together. She is looking forward to a baby to look after also.

I have had a lovely break from Miss Ali's and designing etc. I haven't really touched any of it since I closed the website and I must say it has been so nice to be free from the pressure of it all. When I began feeling awful I was so thankful I had closed down just in time. I am not sure if I will do anything work wise in the near future. I will see how my days unfold. For now I am enjoying just being wife and mother.

Ok well that is enough from me for this first post back. I don't want to shock any of you lol, that is if any of you still visit. I will attempt to post often and keep in touch with you all. Hoping you are all well and not being affected by the financial crisis worldwide, the floods, fires and every other disaster that seems to be present the world over. Has anyone else been thinking the world has gone mad. I think we are seeing the beginning of the end of the world as we know it. Much is said in Scripture about this very time we are in. Don't be ignorant of what is coming friends, open your bibles if you have one and see for yourselves that much of what we are seeing now has been foretold for our benefit in Scripture so that we might be prepared. After a year or more of struggling with the idea of giving up my own life for the sake of my family, i have decided to close Miss Ali's down. The time has come, or rather is long overdue, that I pour myself into my family. It was a tough decision to give it all up, but I have tried so hard to cut down, etc and I always find myself getting sucked back into it to the point where my work takes my focus. And that is not ok. So I am saying goodbye to my little business for now. Time for the children, time for our whole family to have a full time mum. Home schooling is going to be a lot more involved this year and I really can't do both. So..... Miss Ali's is having a closing sale over the next few days before i close the doors. Everything in store is marked down, so if you would like any of my products before they are gone, just head over and get them while they are still up.

I want to take this opportunity to say a hearty THANK YOU to all of you who have shown your support to me over the years. Your kindness has been so appreciated and I shall remember with fondness all the friends I have made through my website, designing, markets and customer visits. I look with fondness over the last few years and really have enjoyed all the highs and lows of creating and selling and designing. I'm Back

Hello lovely blogging friends. I am finally back from our month or so over in New Zealand. We had a wonderful time together for the most part. We laughed often and enjoyed having each others company. We managed to enjoy Queenstown while it was snowing up at Coronet Peak. That was the first time we had been in the snow while it was actually snowing. Aparently they had a cold snap while we were there. But really heated up a few days before we came home, just to prepare us for our hot and humid weather here. Oh boy, we came home and were asking ourselves why we choose to live in Townsville. I really start to wonder. I am very thankful for our air conditioning and wouldn't like to go back to no escape from the heat. I have added some photos for you to enjoy below of our trip.

Going to New Zealand

Well lovlies, we are off for a little family holiday at long last. Hubby decided a few weeks back that it was time for the long anticipated holiday back to my native country. We leave next week and won't be back till end of November. Can't wait for all the bonding that we will do as we campervan through this incredible and rugged country, both Islands.

So I plan to close my website this week and won't be reopening till end of November. Last orders that will be processed before I leave need to be in by tomorrow 5 October 08 to enable me time to complete them.

Last night I took the little ones down to see the concert my hubby was working. Matty (hubby) runs a production company here in Townsville. He provides sound, lighting, staging and techs etc for concerts and other proffesional events across Australia, and abroad at times as well. Well anyway, last night he did one here locally so we came along to support him and check out all of his hard work. Fronteirs Services put on a fundraising concert feautring Troy Cassidaly, and The Songbirds (Becky Cole, Gina Jeffries, and Sara Storer). Money raised goes to helping the familes of the Outback who do it tough. So was a fun night and my parents also came along to keep us company. The kids loved it and ran around up the back and hung off Matt for some of it too. He found it a little stressful having them their but at the same time, I am sure he loved us seeing him work too. The truth is I am proud of my husband, we may not always see eye to eye on some things but he works hard and I love that about him. He gives his best and is loved because of that. He has worked with many artists now and I will have to do a post one day with photos of him and the artists he has worked with just for fun, and to show him how much I think of him. Giveaway Post Below !!

This is my baby with her baby. Taken the other day when she fell asleep on my bed. I couldn't resist snapping her in this angelic state. What a darlin little princess she is. A real sweet heart. Her baby's name is Cherry and she goes everywhere our little one goes.

Don't they grow so fast, only two years ago I was announcing her arrival and already she is so grown up. She loves to sing and dance and is a real little girl.

It has been such a long time since I did a personal post. So I thought it was high time I shared something personal. I guess my children are as good a place to start as any.

For anyone who knows me well knows, that my precious children are the apple of my eye. They are as dear to me as life itself. This year we made the decision to begin home schooling. With only my eldest son at school age, it was a good time to start. It has been somewhat of a challenge for me, battling between the life I had become accustomed to and the life I wanted to learn to love.

I started my Miss Ali's and before that adregan.com a few years ago and used it as an outlet for my creativity. I have always created and sold my creations since I can remember. Even as a little one I used to have stalls out the front of our house, selling my books, coconuts or anything else i could find. I love to sell. Well, the other day I went outside to find my eldest son like this..... He had done the same thing. He had created bookmarks and had set up a stall at the front of our house. It was such a laugh and brought back memories of me. We of course all came out and purchased 2 bookmarks each, which then, he decided, left him short in variety, so asked for one of them back from each of us. So precious. Graciously the boy from next door also came and brought his little sister and purchased some also, very cute and such a lovely boost for our boy. He is saving his pennies as he is wanting to set up his own workshop downstairs. He is saving to buy a drill to start with. We have his money counted and written down and we are working towards his goal. He has done some little jobs for me today to earn some pocket money. He is a great little worker and not afraid to get stuck in. Just a lovely boy with a heart to please.

Well onto our middle son, such a joker and always making me laugh. This little one is the loud one of the family, boystrous in every way. Wakes up slowly and emerges into a loving little soul who is always ready for a cuddle and a book. Loves to read and sits for ages flicking through pages of his favourite books, which at this stage of life, includes Huckle and Lowly books. He is rough and tumble and a true boy.

Ok, I will end it there before it turns into a book. I plan to get more personal from now on and will try and make the time to stay in touch. Hope you are all well. I do often lurk without posting, so just because i haven't commented doesn't mean i haven't stopped by. I must make more time for blogging..... I must ...... I must. ox love to you all. Ali

New French Range!!
Just a very quick announcement to introduce my newest French Collage Card Range. Each card has been embellished with German Glass glitter which just adds a real vintage and 3 dimensional sparkly finish.

Change of Plans!

Hello lovely friends, I am back from our little family holiday up north but will keep Miss Ali's shut for another week to try and give myself some time to get caught up. For the locals there is a change of plans to the market dates. We did our first Showground Market on 24th August outside the main building, but have decided we will not attend them again until we can secure a permanent stall indoors, which will enable us to create more of a little shop atmosphere and leave our goodies there each week and continue to add to it. I have felt a little swamped in my studio at home and think it will be a great idea to have the 'for sale' products housed and set up somewhere our local customers can come and browse and rely on. If and when we secure this indoor spot, we will be opening each Sunday, subject to changes obviously but that will be the plan. Organisers of the market have given me a rough 2-3 week anticipated wait on that, so will keep you posted.

A big box of new books have arrived and i will endeavour this week to get them listed on Miss Ali's for next weeks opening. Also new bookmarks have come in and the cutest little pendants i designed as well. All will be listed as time permits, so keep checking back for those. I am having a little break from design work at the moment also to focus more of my time on my young children and keeping home etc. I am sorry for those of you who are dissapointed by my decision and I thank you all for your business over the last couple of years. I will keep you posted with any new ventures and design work available as we go. Still deciding whether to offer my OOAK's web designs and if so how and where to do that best. Announcement for the Local Girls

Hello strangers, sorry for the long delay in posts. I have had much to say but none of it has made it to my blog. I thought i better make a little announcment for the local Towsville ladies here. As of this Sunday 24th August, we will be holding a stall at the Showground Markets EVERY FORTNIGHT. We will have a stall just outside the main hall but in time hope to move into the hall itself for a more permanent arrangement. I hope to see many of you there. We did a market last month and it was a great success. We have restocked and are hoping to see some of you attend our new market on a regular basis. We will be offering a lovely selection of Prints by the lovely Gail McCormack, beautiful handmade soaps just arrived, also just arrived is a huge big selection of shabby style books, and Shabby Chic DVD's to boot. Handmade stationery, scrap packs, collage sheets, handmade cards, Vintage German Glass Glitter, seam binding, bookmarks, hot packs, glass knobs, vintage papers and more will be available. Hope to see you there.

My computer is having some issues and I have been unable to download photos from my camera so will get the new soaps and books up as soon as I can to Miss Ali's.

I will not be taking any custom orders for a bit now as I have a break from the custom side of things. I will however continue to be offering my OOAK websites through Boutique Mama, with new designs coming September. I hope also to add to my range of pre designed business cards and bits, collage sheets, and also Labels. Also I have designed a range of gorgeous pendants and am currently having them created in America for exclusive sale at Miss Ali's. Will let you know here, when new things are added to my site. Wow, I have been one busy girl lately. I have added new scrumptious supplies to my store like gorgeous Seam Binding, German Glass Glitter and Swarovski Rhinestones to name a few. New vintage style Scrap Packs and Collage Sheets available as Print Your Own. Also I just added a new Blog Design called Rich Elegance and many more things are coming... I have a big market this Sunday at the Holy Spirit School here in Townsville for anyone that can come along and have some fun. Starts at 8.30am so don't be late as all the good stuff goes quickly to the serious shoppers lol. Should be fun. I will be assisted by my very able assistant Liam and a dear friend. Oh me Oh my!

Last friday I was beginning to cook dinner and put the oil on to heat up in preparation for the chicken to be cooked. I, as usual, got carried away with the preparation and forgot about the oil. I turned around to see it going up in smoke. So, doris here, goes over to the saucepan and picks it up and begins to wave the whole saucepan up and down to encourage the smoke to disapear lol. I wasn't thinking to well was I? Well of course, as was to be expected the oil jumped out at me and splashed all over my right hand, (my designing hand as the kids call it lol). Boy did it hurt. I screamed out in pain, but do you think anyone came to my aid? Not a one of them. Nice! So I put it under the running cold water for a minute and then it was numb so turned off the tap and continued to cook dinner. Then bathed the kiddies and it was then that I noticed it was still cooking. It was hot and felt like it was burning. I guess I didn't use the cold water for long enough. Anyway, it is healing well. Had a touch of infection there when Gracie caught it with her lovely clean nail lol. What 1 year old has clean hands right? Well it pulled some skin up and then the next day it began to get a bit warm and red around the edges. It has responded well to the Betadine and have put some Vitamin E oil on it and must remember to do it daily a few times. So that is my little drama for you lol. ox talk soon

Our precious little Gracie burned her little fingers on the exhaust pipe of our car a couple of weeks ago so she is showing you her little marks too. We are matching now.

While I was in Israel I discovered a very talented designer Michal Negrin (I knew of her before this though). She is known for her stationery and fashion statements. Very rich and colourful using vintage images and an eclectic style that is unique to Michal. Well, what a treat it was when I found her shops at the Airport on the way home in Tel Aviv. Home from Jerusalem!

Hello lovley friends, I am back from the Holy Land. I went over with my mother and my brother who booked last minute. It was fabulous to say the least. I will cherish the memories forever. I will attempt to write a brief description below each photo. We joined with a wonderful group of people from all over the world, from the US, Australia (us), New Zealand, Romania, Jordan, Cypress, Israel. What a bunch of people. I am in love with everyone of them and consider them my family. Anyway, I could literally write a book, but not so sure anyone would take the time to read it so will keep it brief for each pic below. I have been so flat out since I got back. It seems that everyone has saved starting a new website, needing new business cards, running out of my gift cards etc, just for when I got back. No complaints here though, it has been a blast. We have slotted very nicely back into schooling again too, and have had to make some tough decisions to ensure I don't give my work more attention than it is due. So I have now alloted times for work and times for everything else that needs to get done, spend time with and focus on. So I am pleased at least to have a plan in place. It is quiet time at our house and the two little ones are asleep while Liam is having his quiet time preparing dinner lol. He was playing but now has started to get the things out for Taco's for tea. Only 4 hours away lol. Anyway, thank you all for your lovely emails welcoming me home and asking about my trip. I will catch up with you all no doubt and look forward to talking to you soon.

Camel riding in the wilderness of Kadesh Barnea. This is where the children of Israel came out of Egypt on their way to the promised land. We were 3km from the Egyptian border right there. We heard gun fire at night, and the border there is very porous. This was one of the highlights of my trip.
We stayed in Bedouin huts and ate off little tables on the floor. Slept on thin matresses and it was so incredible. We ate authentic middle eastern food (of course lol) and it was fantastic. Below was our first lunch soon after arriving, which was 'everyone put on the table what is in your bag and hopefully it will multiply'. And it did, each time we did it. Just like the 'Loaves and the Fishes'.
This was nearing the end of our time and was the flashy part of the tour. The less flashy one fell through so the entire group got to stay here for 3 nights and it was luxury in comparison. Just lovely and the food was amazing too.

These pics are of Masada. Long story with it but I will let you do the research if you are interested. The ruins are from King Herod (the infamous) and includes his palaces and fortress. Later used by Jewish families for refuge from the Romans which ended tragically. But will leave you to find out more.

This is the typical scene on the streets, just inside the Old City walls this was, and we made this route many times over the course of our stay. Just incredible.

Hello friends and family. Just thought I would share this video with you of Gracie saying her ABC's. Granted you won't be able to tell but that is indeed what she is singing lol. Also just letting you know that I am heading over to Israel for a couple of weeks in two weeks to celebrate Passover in Jerusalem. I am counting down the days and won't be back till May 1st. Tammy in Africa

My best friend Tammy has gone over to South Africa for a year to volunteer again in an Orphanage called TLC. Some of you might remember a little boy named Benji who had a serious burns accident and needed some help to meet his hospital bills and get the medical help he needed. Many thanks to all of you who contributed to this precious boy. I am happy to report he is doing really well and is back home with his family who run the orphange. The funds you all sent helped meet all of his ongoing costs, and the family are extrememly grateful for your assistance. So thank you all who helped.

Tammy just sent me these beautiful photos through of her 2 day Volunteers retreat, where the family take all the volunteers away for a Thank You trip. She said the animals were just wandering around amongst them. Can you imagine that? Look at the photos. Just so cute, and the zebras right near the pool, more photos below Dorothy too, as they all got mixed up lol.

And this is one of the little orphans, named Dorothy who has stolen Tammy's heart. I think she might be trying to work out a way to sneak this little tiny cutie back in her luggage next year. lol. A little Holiday Inspiration!

Today I am sharing with you a little holiday inspiration. If you haven't already done some baking with your children over these school holidays, then today might be the day to start. My youngest son who is 3, Joshy, and i did some baking last Thursday and I took some pictures of what we made to hopefully inspire some of you mums to get in and bake something with your little ones too. We had such a lovely time and these recipes are suitable for any age group, 3 and up. Joshy did all of the tipping in and some mixing and rolled the truffles in the coconut. He did a great job and we both had a lovely bonding time in our aprons lol. Hope these pictures and recipes inspire you today. ox

- Ingredients -

4 oz butter

1 pkt plain biscuits (250g)

1 cup of desicated coconut

2 TBLSP of lemon juice

1/2 cup of condensed milk

* * *

- Instructions -

Melt butter and condensed milk over low heat or in microwave.
Crush biscuits and add coconut and lemon juice.
Pour melted mixture over and stir thorougly. Press into a lined 7" x 11" tin.
Cool in fridge then ice with lemon icing and sprinkle with coconut.
Cut into slices and enjoy. Great for freezing and can be taken out when unexpected guest pop in, if it lasts that long without being eaten up lol. Yummo.

- Ingredients -

1 pkt of malt or plain biscuits (crushed)

1 cup of desicated coconut

2-3 TBLSP of cocoa

1 can of condensed milk

* * *

- Instructions -

Crush biscuits, add cocoa & coconut
mix and add can of condensed milk
mix and roll into balls
roll balls in coconut (or chocolate sprinkles, flake for variety)
chill for two hours and eat, or great to freeze as well.
Enjoy!

Hello everyone, sorry it has been so long. I am back online now thankfully and did miss you all. I started thinking this afternoon how much i have missed my web designing and ended up putting a new design together for Miss Ali's. The blue was a little boring and plain. I will enjoy the change anyway for a bit.

Hubby has been busy converting our play room into a school room for this years home schooling. Almost done now and i plan to post some progress photos once we get sorted out. Been a bit of a disruption but for a good cause. Can't wait till it is finished and the cooler is on. Gets so hot down there in summer. We have had a wonderfully refreshing rain storm here today and as I type it is pouring outside. The kids and I played in the puddles this afternoon and got absolutely drenched. Haven't seen such heavy rain in a while. Our yard is a little flooded and I expect there will be reports of some severe flooding around town. Not so good for the rainy season. I think we need some drainage upgrades or something. Matty and I got flooded 6 months after our wedding. We lost wedding photos and all of our newly gathered things to the flood. It was an adventure though and we have fond memories of our time together, discovering our home under water etc. I will leave that for another post, a story in itself.
Ok off to bed now, it is nearly 1am and i just had to design and install the design by tonight didn't I? Am I crazy? Ok, don't answer that. Hope to catch up with you all soon. Sorry I haven't been around lately. oxoxo hugs n squishes all around. oxoxo Ali

Tried to call my provider twice and was disconected when I finally got through. So gave up after that as it is my best friends birthday tonight here. Update on Benji and Banner to share PLEASE!!

Many thanks to the very generous girls who have dontated so far. Not all have left comments but I am sure you will see this banner popping up all over the shabby chic blogland shortly. He really needs all the help you can spare. Here is the latest update from the family.

UPDATE !!

He is currently in ICU and is expected to stay there for at least another 2 weeks. It costs £1000 per day to stay in ICU not including any medication, surgeries, specialist doctors or other unexpected needs. TLC needs to pay each morning before they will keep him for another day, and also need to pay before they will do surgeries etc. Last night TLC had to pay £2500 before they would admit him, and today they have already dished out about £4000 not including his 4 hour surgery. SO the long and short is that they have cleaned out their bank accounts and desperately NEED more to come in and quickly. Little Bengi's life hangs in the balance here ... Please, please let people know just how serious and literally life saving this money will be.

URGENT plea for Help!!

This is an urgent and serious blog entry which i really wish I didn't need to write. My best friend Tammy has been working in an orphanage in Johannesburg in the past and is going back to in the coming weeks to assist and give much needed care and love to these little precious children. She was told today that a serious accident has happened involving two of the precious boys from the orphanage who have been adopted by the loving family who run it. Both of the dear boys Tommy and Benjamin were hurt, but Benji is in critical condition with severe burns to his body. He needs your help, prayers and donations if you are able. The orphanage is run completely by donations from around the world. Click here to be taken to their web site TLC for more information about their ministry to the precious orphaned children of South Africa. Here is a photo of Benji and a photo taken yesterday in hospital. Although the family have adpoted Benji, problems with his birth certificate prevented him from being covered by the families medical insurance. So they are in desperate need of assistance. He has been admitted to a private hopsital after a huge deposit was made, and ongoing costs and payment to repay the expenses are now needed. Please if you have it in your heart and are able to help Benji get the ongoing help he needs to survive, please do. Donations can be made to my paypal account at adregan@aapt.net.au and will be forwarded on as no easy way has been yet set up to receive funds from Australia. I will do a manual deposit into their South African account at a bank when funds are received. Hello lovely blogging friends. Todays post is a special one as I want to introduce to you a special friend of mine from America. Dear Heather has a lovely website called The Patchwork Heart and you can read her very eloquent and thoughtful blog here too. I first met Heather when she approached me to design her website. We got along famously and have kept in touch over the past year to check how the other was doing. Yesterday was a mile stone for us. A day of wonderful memories. We had our last market yesterday in Townsville and it was our best yet. So lovely to finish on a high note. My plans for next year include Home schooling Liam and having the other two involved and learning too. Shutting down my wholesale site ADRegan and continueing as long as time permits with Miss Ali's. Our reason for doing yesterday's market was mainly to advertise Miss Ali's to our local customers. We did well and had a lovely day. I have included some photos of our stall for all who missed it. Well my lovlies, I am home again. We have been on a quick 8 day holiday. We headed to Thredbo for a few days in the snow, what was left of it, then to Canberra for a night to see the War Museum and Paliament House, then toTweed Heads for 4 days to Matts Mums new motel. So was very quick but mostly enjoyable lol. Our holidays usually include a few disasters and this trip had me in stitches then tears at one stage up in the snow lol. The final straw was me dropping the camera into the slushy wet snow. With that i went into a fit of uncontrollable laughter and it ended in great sobs lol. Just like my mother. Laugh so hard then cry. Was real tears with deep sobs as so much had gone wrong up till that point. Nothing big just one thing after the other. Oh well, all memories now and fond ones at that. I have included a few pics of our trip above and they have changed order lol. And I had my last market yesterday and will do a quick post about that later today i think. Hope you have all been well in my absence.

Holiday In the Snow!

Hello lovely friends. I know I know, it has been a while. So sorry about that. It has been crazily busy for me over the last few weeks. With the sale on at ADRegan, Miss Ali orders, and just general mothering of three precious children and hubby away it has been a tad hectic. Ok this one won't be too long either lol. Just wanted to let everyone know that we are heading to the snow tomorrow and will be back online Mon 5th nov. Will post more details and pics when we get back. Before I go i thought i would share some pics of the fun my Joshy and Gracie got up to yesterday with Grandma. Hello my lovely friends. I thought I had better write a quick post letting you know that I have, after many requests, added my shabby christmas cards to Miss Ali's and are available as a set of 4 as shown. They feature the beautiful artwork of my dear friend Natasha Burns as many of you would probably recognise. I personally don't celebrate Christmas anymore, since I learned of its origins in Pagan worship and the instructions in Scripture to not worship the God of Israel the way the Pagans do. I have however offered them on my wholesale site, and some of my retail customers wondered why they couldn't find them on Miss Ali's. I hummed and haaed (is that a word lol) about whether to offer them as I didn't feel comfortable giving the impression that I was for the whole thing. Anyway, they are there for all who would like some lol. Not sure how long they will last there though. If I feel convicted I will take them down. Anyway, just thought I better let everybody know where I stand. I don't want to make a big issue out of it just thought I would share a little of where I feel the Lord is leading me personally at the moment. We all have to decide for ourselves what is right and wrong and for me I choose to celebrate the Feasts and Days laid out in Scripture over those that are widely celebrated today. My 5 year old Chef & a Tribute to my Parents!!

My precious Liam, spent the day last sunday with his very loving and patient Grandad & Grandma. My lovely dad just sent me through this photo of Liam and his 'playdoh' meal. Grandad and Liam made a special meal of Corn Beef, carrots, corn and peas. They did such a great job of it and I thought I would share it with you. My children are so fond of their grandparents, and I feel blessed beyond words for their constant love and support of us all. My Dad, is so patient with the kids and will just sit on the ground at (59 years) and play for hours with the kids. He plays all sorts of wonderful games that him and Liam come up with and is such a special part of his life. Grandma sits and reads books to the kids and is so organised and when I go to pick the kids up sometimes when they have enjoyed the day or night with them, their clothes are washed and ironed and the kids come out looking all sparkly and clean and the bag is ready to unpack straight into the cupboard. I am always amazed by their love. So this is a tribute to you my precious parents, who I am sure, I couldn't love more if I tried. Thank you for all you have instilled in me and now to my children. We thank you and love you and know that Gods blessing in our lives includes you both. oxoxo Ali

Our little family just headed up north for a few days this week to get away from it all. Friends of ours sent us to a beach house up near Cairns and it was so lovely. The back yard led down to the beach and we spent such sweet time together and regrouped. I will post a few pics below of us all at the beach. Hope you are enjoying the school holidays, those of you with kids on holidays. It goes too fast for us, and we really treasure having Liam home with us during the holidays.

7 Facts you never knew about me!!

Ok, this was a tough one for me as I don't often sit and think about myself in this way. But anyway, here is some things you may not know about me.

1. When i left school, i didn't want to get married, and after being pursued by one too many boys throughout my life, I was a little over boys getting so serious so quickly. I wanted to actually go to Africa and be of some help over there. I nearly did on two occasions, both with Doctors families, one as their nanny and the other as a helper in the clinics I guess. Both times as it drew closer I felt the the Lord had other plans and I wasn't meant to go. So alas i stayed. I then packed up my things and headed over to New Zealand, my native land, with the intention of living there and starting a new life. I loved it and actually met up with an old friend who i thought at the time might be my match. But again, on the last day my family was heading home, and the decision of me staying or leaving had to be made, i felt I had to head back to Australia and that I was pursuing the wrong direction. I think within weeks of returning home, I re-met an old school friend, who had tried to woo me years earlier to no avail. I was swept off my feet by this handsome man who had seemed to become rather dashing and a real charmer since i had last seen him. He invited me out for an icecream and the rest is history. We married 6 months later at the yound age of 18. Wow, young isn't it?

2. I have only ever had one real boyfriend, kissed one man and was a virgin when I married him, and so was he. Now that must sound strange these days. I would do it all over again and pray the same for my little ones too.

3. If I had been born a boy my mum had decided she would call me Richard or Gregory lol. Not that Alison is much better but I am thankful I was born a girl.

4. My favourite meal is Taco's with lots of sour cream, and my favourite dessert is Marshmellow yoghurt delight. My brother in laws mothers creation. 1 kg of full cream yoghurt, 1 small container of thickened cream, whipped, and 1 packet of pascalls marshmellows. That's it. So yummy.

5. I have been pregnant 6 times. Three have gone ahead of me to be with the Lord already, and three are with me on earth. My son talks about his brothers and sisters in heaven lol. He looks forward to meeting them.

6. I conceived my last two babies through an OVER consumption of chocolate. Joshy conceived on Cadbury Turkish Delight Chocolate, and Gracie on Nestle Coconut one, (can't think of its name and not available now). I have Polycystic Ovaries's and my first 4 pregnancies required Chlomid to conceive (of which I lost three of the babies). Then the last two pregnancies, were both after a few solid weeks of eating nearly a block of chocolate every couple of days (no joke). You couldn't convince me that chocolate doesn't contain womens hormones. And as soon as I had conceived I couldn't stand eating it. I didn't realise i was but suddenly went off the chocolate, only to find out a few weeks later (both times) that i was with child. I now love Dove Peppermint chocolate lol, but not planning on any more babies just yet.

7. I have always wanted a shop. I have had a gift business before when i was into country decorating. I have had a shabby chic shop run out of my home. My husband and I have a shop (understatment) it is huge. And i have done markets for years. I started selling my books and toys outside our house when i was little and always loved playing shop keepers. My first real job was as a check out chic for a supermarket lol. So...... I am ready for my next adventure. I have two websites at the moment and am itching for a real bricks and mortar shop to play in lol... so keep an eye out as that may be just around the corner.

Grace locked in Car!!

We just had a big fright. Liam and Josh and Grace were outside packing the car up and Liam finished up putting his toys in and shut the boot, only to notice a little while later that he couldn’t find the keys, and he ended up looking in the car and none other than my precious Gracie was in there and had locked it from the inside with the keys inside. Oh my!!! I got such a fright, I was planning on smashing the window in to rescue my girl. She was happy to start with and had found a bottle of sunscreen which she found quite amusing. She opened the lid and poured it onto the seat and began to play in it. Smeared it on the windows and tasted it a few times. All the while I am frantically telling her to get the keys, ta mama lol. Press the button. She would just grin at me. She grabbed the keys a few times and held them up to the window for me as I was asking for them. It was so frustrating. She was kissing me through the window and I couldn’t even touch her face. Oh I hated the feeling of helplessness. Anyway RACQ finally came and opened it up. The man was pommy and was really lovely. He said it was the second one he had done today. The first one was 2 little twins lol. double trouble. Oh well, just thought I would fill you in. When she came out she was so hot and sweaty. I was thinking, well at least it is cool and not in the sun. Didn’t realise how hot it really was in there. She started to get upset near the end and probably wondered why I wasn’t getting her out. It was breaking my heart. Thankfully we have a great and understanding RACQ and rushed as fast as they could to rescue her. Ok, just thought i would get all that off my chest lol. Please anyone reading this, if you have young children, now might be the time for the lecture on not playing in the car, and make sure they know that children and keys aren't a good combination. Gracie is safe and sound and happy to be safe. My little Liam is on holidays for a few weeks so we have decided to have a little break from work life for a few days. I will be back online on Friday. My Little Angel of Grace!!

My little angel or is she?? She is the sweetest little girl i have ever met but she is often into mischief as well. I am almost convinced she is part mountain goat too lol, as she spends her days climbing on tables, onto computer monitors, into cupboards, up on chairs, you name it she is there. Then she does this gorgeous grunt sound which means, 'help mama, come rescue me'.

Climbing on the kids computer monitor while little Joshy patiently watches his movie lol. I don't think he even noticed to be quite honest.

This is Gracie pretending to be my i think sadly enough. I came in and saw her and grabbed the camera. She turned on a pose for me too by the looks. less than 20 seconds after the photo she was on the desk. Notice the hand on the keyboard while she chats on the phone. She is picking up multi-tasking already isn't she?

Found & ate the 'add water to your brush' paint in a choice selection of ruby red. She thought it was a vitamin C i think, as Joshy did the same thing with the bit that was left sitting there after Gracie had her turn of it lol. I should have thrown it straight in the bin. But I came in and Joshy was spitting and saying yuck, he turned to me and there was the same red mouth lol. He showed it to me and said Vitamin C. So funny, i wish i had snapped him too. It was all in hour of each other.

Grace decided that the kitchen cupboard would be a fun place to visit, she quickly changed her mind after several about turns inside it lol.

Why such a plain name you ask lol? Miss is a little Posh and Ali is my name. So it is short and sweet and says what I need it to say. And it is available lol. Most others weren't. I didn't like it but it has grown on me now. So thank you so much to everyone for your wonderful suggestions. I may just have to start a business name suggestions page on ADRegan lol. Ok precious people, so I will be a busy beaver for the next month or so getting set up etc. Will let you all know what progress is being made and of course when Miss Ali's is launched. In Search of a New Business Name - HELP!!

Just a quick post as I am pulling my hair out. I am starting a new online giftware boutique, exquisite gifts, with a french flavour, mostly handmade by some very talented ladies. Not the usual shabby chic rosy style, will be classical, and neutral colours for the web design.

This is where you come in. I am stuck for a name that sums it all up. I was thinking 'Miss Ali Belle' but my mum says it reminds her of Clarabelle the cow lol. She was a farm girl. And i agree Belle is overused already. Don't want to use Boutique as it is way over done. Mum likes 'Miss Ali's' but I am not sure about that one. I was hoping for a bit of french flavour in it without being unpronouncable by the average person.

Any suggestions you could throw my way would be so appreciated. Don't worry if you aren't sure just give me what you've got floating around in your head. I hope all who read this can offer some suggestions. It needs to sound very classy, sophisticated and not include the words shabby, chic or boutique. So that is today's challenge. Todays' Vintage Finds!

This will be very sweet in my studio painted white.

Come in handy for my hanging bits i think.

Very gawdy gold frame which will really shine when i paint it white or cream and add a sweet print. I will keep this one as i love the detail in the corners. Don't find many ornate frames in these parts. So when you do you tend to want to hang on to them.

This was a great find. It is a massive roll of gold round labels. I plan to use this to finish off my parcels instead of ugly tape. I will try and put them through my printer and add 'Thank You' or if they turn out might even use them for my logo. Will have a play and see what i can make with them.

This is a very long mirror, already white and distressed so a good find for me. I actually got 2 of them exactly the same. Not quite sure where i will put them yet. I have one in the studio for now on top of my hutch and another on the kitchen wall beside my fridge. A good space filler for those narrow spots on the wall i suppose. Probably get moved 100 times before it finds its special home.

I have done a studio up this week. Inspired initially by the 'old church' studio I saw on someones blog. sorry can't remember where. And then i saw an article in Romantic Homes Mag, featuring Jo-Anne Colletti's office. So, I had been praying and asking the Lord for a studio, and then realised, it was only me stopping it from happening. I had the room, I just needed to reshuffle. So The Playroom again has become mine and it has been moved further down the way, a perfect set up and a great use of space. Anyway, when i get some better photos of it, i will post them. Not the most amazing decorating just yet, but i decided to use what i had already and will add to it as i go. It is my little corner in the world that i can go to for inspiration. I have a place for everything I create with and a table on which I can map out my plans. A lot of fun. I have a house of 3 boys and my sweet 1 year old Grace and myself. So i was in need of a place to retreat. Ok, better go organise myself to head out to my parents for the afternoon.

Cupcakes for a special girl!

Just a quick post to show you my cupcakes for Gracie's party tonight. My baby turns one tomorrow. Can't believe how fast this past year has gone, and how much I could love her. She is just the sweetest natured girl i have ever met. Truly a delight. I so love being Gracies' mother and would have 10 more if I could have them just like her. Anyway, just whipped up some cute cupcakes for her little family birthday tonight. The centre one is hers and will have a little candle in the centre of the flowers. I opted for inividual cupcakes for this birthday for ease of eating etc. Everyone will get there own cake instead of a big one. Not the most creative thing I have ever done lol, but the first cupcakes i have made so not a bad first effort. I will leave the cake decorating for the experts i know that much. Not my specialty by any means. Oh well, at least i had a go and enjoyed myself while i was at it. Joshy's 3rd Birthday

Joshy turned 3 yesterday and this is his new bike complete with very noisy horn lol. I think the horn was his favourite part. We had a little party for him last night. It was a nice night and I think he really enjoyed all of the attention. He handled it well. He can tend to go a bit silly sometimes but he was good. Below is my very cute Gracie girl. A perfect poser already lol. Standing there relaxing with Grandma.

And this was Liam or should I say Joshy opening the present. I don't know how many times i had to stop Liam from completely taking over the present unwrapping and then almost snatching the gift right out of poor little Joshy's hands soon as it was revealed lol. He was so excited he forgot who's birthday it was.

Ok, my mum has little Joshy for a treat today, Liam is at school, Gracie in bed so I might just go and have a little rest myself. I have been creating my very own studio the last couple of days and have managed to re-sort my whole downstairs area, complete with Studio, Playroom, Office and Laundry. Needless to say I am had it. Back aching and in need of Sabbath to come quickly this week. Well it is tonight so not long to wait now. These are very original and stunning creations by Melissa Lewis. Melissa has created a handful of the most incredible Fairy gowns. Each is Very Original and Highly Collectible. Created using silk flower petals, bark, leaves, feathers, and all sorts of other fascinating mediums. I couldn't resist and snapped up the lemon gown you can see in some of the pics. It is the most incredible thing I think I have ever seen, and believe me I have seen a lot. I can't stop looking at it. It is sitting proudly above Gracie's cot for now. I bought it as an heirloom and I know Gracie will cherish it always.

I was torn between this gorgeous pink rose gown and the lemon one I ended up choosing. Of course this pink one was snapped up by someone else. The photos do not do them any justice at all. Sorry about that. More coming soon (I hope)

Yesterday's Market !!

Well, I am back. I had my big twice a year market yesterday here in Sunny Townsville. We went really well and had a lovely day. The weather was great and there was a steady stream of customers. I have added some pics for you to see if anyone is interested. I had the priviledge of offering the gorgeous work of Gail McCormack on my stall and it was the first time I had offered her beautiful art work in my home town. Needless to say it was a big hit and we had people lined up waiting to purchase their peice of Gail. At this market there is a strict 8.30am start time so the serious buyers get there early and stake there claim and soon as it ticks over to 8.30am they go for it. I had ladies barring prints so no one else could beat them to it lol. So thank you so much to my dear friend Gail for allowing me to showcase her delightful gifts to our local ladies. I am sure you will be getting many new customers Gail as I handed out a heap of your cards to undecided customers who I directed to your site for their final purchases. Hope you hear from some of them soon. Ok, enjoy the pics everyone and I would love to hear everyones comments or suggestions for next time. And stay tuned. I am going to do another post after this introducing some very gifted women with their original work. Ok, again with the kiddie pictures lol. Sorry to those of you who don't care about my kids lol. My family look on here too for updates so I put them up for their benefit mainly. Bear with me if you can. This was just a couple of a heap of pics i snapped this afternoon as we played in the backyard. We had a lovely time. I just decided this afternoon that we might have Joshy's and Gracies birthday at the same time next week. Grace is too little to know or care and so is Josh really. Will have to do two cakes and we should be able to pull it off lol. Anyway, just doing last minute things for the market, and clearing my camera ready for use tomorrow. Today was my eldest son Liams School Sports Day. He is only 5 and he was only in one race. But we trained with him and had races for weeks around our house. Mum verses the boys lol. We had a blast. Well all the fun practice paid off today in his 40m sprint. He was all set to do his very best. We told him over and over that all he had to do was his best. Didn't matter if he won or not. But he told me that last night he prayed late at night that God would let him win because mum and dad wished he could win. He asked God to give us our wishes. ahhhh!! How cute is that. He is such a sweet heart. So old for his age and so aware. Anyway so glad he did his best. I asked him at the end if he did his best and he said 'I think so'. lol. Well he won by a mile so i am sure he gave it all he got. He was shaking at the end. Surge of adrenalin. You can see in the photo he is looking around making sure no one was sneaking up on him lol. I am certainly not athletic so he didn't get the gift from me. I used to come 1st in Javelin, and 2nd and 3rd in Discus and Shot Put. So it would be safe to say my strentgh is in my arms. I just wasn't built for speed. Oh well, can't be good at everything can we lol. Anyway, well done little sweet heart. So proud of you. He is already planning for next years race lol. I have my twice a year big market on Sunday so will come back next week with some pics of my stall and let you know how i go. Should be a lot of fun. My precious friend Tammy and I are doing the stall so should be just like old times, when we were business partners. Anyway, talk soon. Shabbat Shalom.

Ok, just thought I would let everyone know about my new product line I am offering on my site. All new Soothing Eye and Body Pillows. Perfect for winter. Check them out. I am not planning on making any more so if you want some get them now before they go. I am taking them to a market on Sunday so i don't expect they will last too long. Anyway hope you like them. I have used beautiful quilting fabrics from America. Had a stash ready to make things with but that didn't happen so thought why not make extra pretty hot packs. oxoxo

Change of Direction !!

Hello all, i am writing this post, before i can change my mind. After much thinking i have decided to discontinue with my web design. I have come to the realisation finally that my children have been given by God as a gift. They are to be cherished and nurtured, trained and loved. I have always struggled to prioritise my time in a way that was satisfactory in my own mind. I have been torn between what i should do and what i wanted to do. Well i have decided to put my family first and for this to happen i need to stop doing that which has been consuming my time and my attention. So i have decided that i will no longer offer web design, business cards or any other custom work. I will continue to expand my new range of cards and giftware as time allows and offer them on my site mainly for wholesale purposes to other shops but also as retail.
This decision has been a long time in coming and i have toyed with it off and on for serveral months now. It hasn't been an easy one to make but i know the sacrifices i am making now will beneift my precious children for the rest of their lives. They are only small once and soon this time will have slipped by never to return again. I am going to seize this moment in their young lives and pour myself into them and into my wonderful husband that has been so very patient with me. I know he will love having my attention and i can only imagine the impact it will have on all of our relationships.
I apologise to all of you who will feel disapointed by this decision. I want to publicly thank Robin of 57 Boutique Street and Boutique Mama, for teaching me all I know about Web Design. Robin, has been such a dear friend and so kindly taught me how to turn my love of graphic design into complete web design. She has been such a blessing in my life and i want to thank her very much for her kindness and generosity. I would recommend Robin to all of you who are looking for design services and can't think of any one I would rather go to than her. My Parcel from Vintage Susie!

Just wanted to show you the gorgeous apron i received the other day from susie of www.vintagesusie.com You can still see it on her site home page. It is absolutely gorgeous. I was going to take photos of it to show you but i have been using it since and so thought it looked best displayed on Susie's mannequin best lol. Minus the cooking stains. No not stained just ready for its first wash. I keep it out on display and will use it each and every time i cook up a storm. Just love it. She was also sweet enough to include a beautiful teatowel she had made for me. I am so very grateful. Just so special. I met Sue when she approached me to design her website for her. Just a very quick post to let you know Matty came home safe and sound this morning. The kids are so pleased to have him home now and they have enjoyed playing with him today. He brought home some wooden clogs from Holland, and some other souveneirs he thought we might like lol. So funny the gifts men choose isn't it? Anyway, won't go there lol. So grateful for his thoughtfulness. He is a sweety and never comes home empty handed. Ok have been busy painting all day so my eyes are a bit sore. I will be sure to post some photos of a fun little parcel i received the other day from my dear friend Susie at http://www.vintagesusie.com/ A gorgeous blue rosy apron that you can see on her welcome page still. 10th Anniversary Dinner!! Wow was i spoilt !!

Matt and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary a few weeks back. I will tell you just how far he went to spoil me and make me feel so special. Ladies you may want to show this post to your man.

I awoke the morning of our anniversary to breakfast in bed. I then proceeded out to the living area where I was handed an envelope. It was like a deja vu. The last time he handed me an envelope, it contained an itinery for the day which included tickets to Melbourne leaving a few hours later, to stay with my good friend Natasha Burns lol. I hadn't met Tash before in person, so my husband and her had conspired together to send Gracie (a few months old at the time) and myself to meet her all the way in Melbourne. I live in Nth Queensland. Anyway back to the Anniversary. So that was running through my mind when he handed me this envelope. I sat there and looked at him and said 'what have you been up to'. He just smiled and told me to open it. This is what it contained.

And the next page said. 'Have a fabulous day and remember, you will need to be home by 5pm for the next part of your special day.'

Then it had two maps inclosed for me to find my way around the city to the selected shops.

So To cut a very long story short, i did all those things and was pampered and got home and ready by 5.30pm. Before long a limo came up my drive way to pick me up. I hopped in the limo and no one was in there with me. No hubby. So where was I going? Who knew?

The limo took me to the park I was married in 10 years earlier. And who do you think was waiting for me there? You guessed it. My very special and thoughtful husband. He opened my door and took me by the hand. He then walked me down the aisle again to the same music on our special day. We walked up into the gazebo in Anzac park where we had signed our lives away to each other before God Almighty 10 years before.

When we reached the top of the gazebo there was a table, all laid with roses, and the works. Matt had hired to chefs to prepare a three course meal for us for the evening. Just him and me in a park at night. (and of course the chefs lol). How romantic is he? We then went back to the limo and we ended up at the motel we spent our first night in as husband and wife. Even had chosen the exact same room. We got there and when i walked in i was so overwhelmed. There were rose petals everywhere. (see below)

So i won't go into the rest, but needless to say it was lovely and the spa was amazing. My parents had our children for the evening and it was such a treat. When we got up the next morning we enjoyed a buffet breaky and then spent the morning together and it was great. If you ever read this babe, thanks a million times over for your thoughtfulness. I love you. oxoxo And i am so very thankful to be yours. ox

Hubby in Spain!

Just thought i would come on here again lol. I just went to Natasha's blog and she had a pizza recipe on there. So i decided it was time for me to have one lol, now at 10pm at night. Crazy but you should see it. Melted cheese and the works. So just sitting here waiting for it to cook and was thinking about my very precious hubby Matt. He left on Tuesday for Spain. We own an Audio Production company, and his supplier in Spain, offered him a free trip over there to check out there latest speakers. Crazy as the time it took to get there was days, and he has to come all the way back in just over a week. Back on Wednesay our time. I miss him so much already. Here is a picture i took of Matt and the boys last weekend up at the range near where we live.

Matt called me from Tokyo, then Amsterdam, them Madrid, then finally he made it to Valencia Spain. What a long trip. He travelled well up until the last flight from Madrid. He has felt crook for days now. Poor darlin. Anyway, will post some photos from his trip when he returns. Ok Pizza nearly done now, and ahhhhh the aroma. talk soon. ox
